About TATSA
The acronym "TATSA" comes from "Thai After Tsunami Schooling Aid".
The pronunciation of "TATSA" is similar to "taksa" in Thai, meaning "knowledge".
TATSA provides schooling aid for students who have been directly affected by the tsunami on 26th December 2004.
The main focus is on schooling for students aged between 11 - 24 years who have lost their breadwinner.
This schooling aid will help them to finish school instead of dropping out and having to work to support their younger siblings. |

Beneficiaries & Schooling Fund Distribution

|
- Support is given to students for primary to undergraduate studies. Grants are in the range of 15,000 to 50,000 baht per year per student.
- Expenses will be paid including school fees, study materials, bus fares, lunches (incl. weekend), uniforms (incl. socks & shoes), boarding fees etc.
- All donations to TATSA are used to support the students. All administration costs are met by the organisers.
- Aid is distributed on a monthly basis to special school accounts. Students withdraw money from the school office on a daily basis for lunch and bus fares, and they sign a receipt. Purchases for other things are only reimbursed against receipts.
