Who we are
"Trin" Klinkeaw
Trin, the Thai-speaking co-founder of TATSA, was born in Ayudyha. She first worked in various hotels in Bangkok, Dubai & London. After spells in Singapore, Hong Kong and Bangkok working in real estate, she has now settled in Phuket and runs a private motor yacht charter company.

She says "It would have been just too easy to put money in the collection hat to help tsunami victims.. It happened right here, I decided I could do something on the ground. Education is a right of all children and no child should lose their education opportunity due to the tsunami."

And, after talking to Françoise, TATSA was born! Being bi-lingual, Trin is the go-between with the schools and the students.

The Salti family

Françoise is the co founder with Trin of TATSA. With Trin, she manages TATSA's day-to-day business. Born in France, she is the link with the French-speaking donors. She has now been living in Phuket for over 3 years.

Previously, she lived for 14 years in various countries in Africa and for almost 17 years in Asia.

Andre, Françoise's husband, formerly a manufacturer's helicopter pilot/instructor, has decided to retire in Phuket for "good sailing reasons".

He is helping his wife maintain TATSA's records on the computer.
"Fred" : Françoise and Andre's daughter Frederique, after living for 13 years in Singapore working in the hotel industry and wine business, has now relocated to Bangkok.

She is helping Trin when needed and also when her parents are away from Phuket.
Jean & Valentin Thilly
Being married for many years, but without children of their own, they have always wanted to look after a child in need. The Tsunami came unfortunately and this was the time to do something. Jean is a businessman and Valentin, a housewife.

The Thillys both love traveling, meeting people, are very sporty and enjoy life. They would like to share their own experiences and give younger students the opportunity to go on with their lives despite the loss of parents or other family. Amongst their network of friends they have worked on raising funds in Belgium and other European countries.

Visiting Phuket annually, they will keep in contact with the students and hope this will be a good thing to teach solidarity worldwide.
David & Bui Rubin
David and Bleumjit ("Bui") Rubin have been living in Phuket for just a year, but their connections with Phuket goes back many years. David first came to Thailand as a Peace Corps volunteer in 1966 and was sent to Phuket. Bui was born in Phuket. Both her parents were trained nurses and Bui too trained as a nurse. She worked in Wachira's operating room as a nurse-anesthetist for fourteen years before marrying David and, after two years in Yala, they moved to the United States.

Bui retired from M.D. Anderson Hospital and Tumor Institute in Houston Texas several years ago. David, also now retired, worked for many years as a certified public accountant for the Shell Oil Company.

Bui and David have now bought a home in Phuket, close to their relatives. They assist with the donations side of TATSA and both being bi-lingual handle the translation of the students' letters.
David Haines
An engineer by profession, David has spent most of his working life in Singapore after leaving the UK to teach at the University of Singapore (now NUS).

On retiring from his engineering services company a few years ago, he migrated to Phuket and decided to "mess about in boats" which was far more enjoyable than sitting in an air-conned office! David looks after the TATSA accounts and keeps the office computer and communications running.
Jon Lowe
Jon, is a web designer living in Stockport in the UK.

He was alerted to TATSA's need for a web site by his father David Lowe who is a friend of David Haines.

Jon is TATSA's webmaster.
And many more...
There are more helpers around the world who coordinate fund collections in their own countries and organise transfers to Thailand.
